Dick and Salinda are artists living and working in the Silicon Valley San Francisco Bay Area. Both work primarily in watercolor and paint plein air when weather permits, which is nearly year 'round in our Mediterranean climate. In addition to making paintings for display and framing, Salinda makes hand painted greeting cards, handbags and knitted caps. Dick works in watercolor and draws cartoons for the Plain Air series of ebooks and related products.
Dick received his BA degree in Machine Design with a minor in Art. He continued his art education at Wingate University (North Carolina) and the San Francisco Art Institute. He practiced his art while serving a long career in the door automation and security industry as an Engineering Manager and business owner.
Salinda studied traditional Chinese brush painting in Beijing for three years and has attended western painting workshops in the U.S. She spent the majority of her career as a Diplomat and served in Chinese Embassies throughout the world.
