Dick Zunkel
Richard (Dick) Zunkel majored in Machine Design and minored in Art at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He furthered his art education at Wingate College (University) in North Carolina, and the San Francisco Art Institute, where he was also a guest instructor. He served a year apprenticeship at a country pottery in Monroe, North Carolina. He has experience in acrylic and oil painting, but prefers to paint plein air watercolor land and seascapes. He has taught watercolor technique in workshops and was a volunteer host to a senior art workshop in San Jose, CA. Dick and his wife Salinda paint plein air weekly in Northern California and carry their sketchbooks as they travel worldwide.
