I first learned watercolor painting technique at Bradley University under noted artist Gerald Fromberg. We had two classroom session learning about paint, paper, stretching techniqes and palettes. Then we headed outdoors. The rest of the semester was painting plein air. I have painted through the years but today I paint plein air with a sketchbook, often with ink. The majority of my artistic activities are with a digital app and tablet.
